Poos Caboose is a one-tap iPhone game about a cat named Poos who hops from caboose to caboose on a moving train. Time your tap, land the hop, earn poos coin, unlock increasingly ridiculous cats. That's the whole game, and that was always the point.
When it first launched in 2018, the App Store featured it in 154 countries. Then life happened, the game quietly fell off the store, and Poos spent a few years on a bench at a quiet rural station, waiting.
The cat is back
In 2026 we dusted off the original game and rebuilt it from the ground up for modern iPhones. Not a remaster with a new coat of paint — the same game we loved, with the machinery underneath completely replaced so it runs beautifully on today's devices and today's iOS.
What's new in the relaunch
- Perfect-landing combos. Land dead-center on a caboose and your streak builds a combo that multiplies coin earnings up to 5×. High-score chasing now has real technique to it.
- A world leaderboard with no account. Pick a nickname and your best score goes up against the world. No login, no email, no social network connection — we removed all of that on purpose.
- Game feel. Squash-and-stretch hops, landing haptics, near-miss callouts. The little things that make a one-tap game feel alive.
- All 13 pooses return, from og poos to a certain 100,000-coin mystery. Meet the full roster.
What stays the same
Free to download. One thumb to play. Sessions measured in bus stops. A cat in a pompadour. If you played the original, your muscle memory will carry over — the timing window is exactly as honest (and exactly as merciless) as it was in 2018.
When can I play it?
Soon. The game is finished and in pre-launch testing now; it returns to the App Store as soon as the paperwork clears. If you want to know the moment it lands, the App Store badge on the homepage will light up — or email hello@pooscaboose.com and we'll tell you personally. Poos answers all his own mail.
